About the service

World Cup Predictor is a free, private prediction game for a small group of friends (under 500 people). It is a personal hobby project run by Sebastián Gamboa. The site is not a commercial product: no money is collected, no prizes are awarded, and no advertising is shown.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to use the site. You sign in with a Google account. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for any activity that happens under it.

Accounts are intended for friends and acquaintances invited to play. We may remove accounts that are abusive, impersonating others, or not part of the invited group.

No money, no gambling

This is not a gambling product. No purchases are required or possible. There are no cash prizes, no winnings, no entry fees, and the project owner receives no income or material benefit from running the site. It exists purely for fun among friends.

Your content

You are responsible for the predictions, comments, and other content you submit. Do not post content that is illegal, harassing, hateful, sexual, or that violates someone else's rights. We may remove content or accounts that break these rules.

By posting content, you allow us to display it to other participants for the purpose of running the game.

Fair play

Predictions lock when each match starts. Do not try to manipulate scores, exploit bugs, or use automated tools to interact with the site. If you spot a bug, please let us know.

Availability

Because this is a hobby project, we make no promises about uptime, accuracy of match data, correctness of the leaderboard, or that the site will be available at any particular time. We may change, pause, or shut down the site at any moment without notice.

No warranty

The site is provided "as is", without any warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent allowed by law, the project owner is not liable for any damages, losses, or issues arising from your use of the site.

Changes to the rules

We may adjust the prediction rules, scoring, or these terms before or during the tournament. Significant changes will be communicated on the site.

Ending your use

You can stop using the site at any time and request deletion of your account by emailing us. We may also end your access if you break these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Costa Rica. Any disputes should first be raised by email so we can try to resolve them informally.
